Dr. Dale Harrison is a leading ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon based in Cape Town, specialising in Cataract and Laser refractive surgery. He earned his MBChB from the University of Cape Town in 1992 and completed his specialist training in both London and at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. As a qualified ophthalmologist, Dr. Harrison is a medical doctor who diagnoses and treats a wide range of eye conditions, offering both medical and surgical solutions. He has been in private practice since 2003 and currently performs Cataract and Laser surgery at the state-of-the-art Cape Town Peninsula Eye Hospital, a facility purpose-built for ophthalmic care.
He was made a Consultant in Ophthalmology, Groote Schuur Hospital in 2003 and remained a part time Senior Lecturer and Clinician at UCT Medical School training junior ophthalmic surgeons till 2017.
He has been a past Chairman of the Western Cape Branch of OSSA and was chairman of the organising committee for the Annual OSSA congress in Cape Town in 2013.
